Trade Forward Southern Africa

An ongoing social content partnership for Trade Forward Southern Africa — the FCDO-funded regional trade programme connecting exporters, policymakers and industry across Southern Africa. I design the day-to-day social media visuals that carry the programme’s work to its audience on Facebook and beyond.

Project Overview

Trade Forward Southern Africa (TFSA) is a five-year programme funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and implemented by DAI, working across six SACU+M countries — South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia and Mozambique — to grow intra-regional trade and help exporters, particularly women-led businesses, reach new markets. The programme runs training, export certification support and digital tools including the School of Export online learning platform and the TFSA Trade Hub.

My role has been to give that work a consistent social media presence: designing the graphics behind trade fair announcements, certification webinars, sector awareness campaigns and programme milestones, all built around TFSA’s navy-and-white brand system and its UK Government and DAI co-funder marks.

Social Content in Action

One brand system, dozens of stories.

Reports & Publications

Sector reports, made to be read.

Beyond the social feed, the programme needed technical guides and sector reports that regional exporters would actually pick up — HS tariff coding guides, sustainability strategies, good manufacturing practice guides and EU market-entry requirements. I built a consistent report system across nine publications, carrying the Trade Forward Southern Africa identity through covers, typography and co-funder branding.

Campaign Videos

Motion for the moments that needed it.

Short-form video carried the programme’s biggest announcements straight into feeds across the region — partnership news, webinar invitations, and the launch of the Renewable Energy Projects Database.
